Home Owners –
Now There’s a Place for Your Household Scrap

Do you have rusty old metal stashed in your garage or basement that the garbage man won’t take? Things like old sinks, washers, dryers, fridges, bar-b-q’s, lawn mowers, aluminum ladders, bicycles or even car parts?  Kidney Metals is the recycling program that will solve your problem and support a good cause.  Instead of just being dumped in the landfill, your metals will be recycled and proceeds will help The Kidney Foundation reduce the burden of kidney disease.

To drop off your scrap metal, homeowners can bring household items to the Kirmac Collision Coquitlam location at 2714 Barnet Hwy. Coquitlam, Monday – Saturday between 8am – 5pm. Or go to any one of  ABC Recycling's five locations in British Columbia. Visit www.abcrecycling.com for the location nearest you or call Lori at 604-514-9411 for assistance.

Businesses -
Turn your Scrap Metal into a Tax Deduction with Kidney Metals

If your business has scrap metal to dispose of, consider donating it to Kidney Metals. It’s an easy way to support a good cause.  All kinds of ferrous and non-ferrous metals are accepted, but some specific examples are construction materials (beams, rebar, pipes, etc.), old machinery, drums and even car parts. You can either drop off your metals at an ABC Recycling location or, based on the volume of your metals, a bin could be brought to your business location. Call ABC Recycling for information on locations and bin service. Your scrap metals will be weighed and valued and your business will be provided with an official charitable tax receipt.  It’s an easy way to make a big difference in the lives of those living with kidney disease.
