 The Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC Branch is honoured to welcome ABC Recycling as our partner in the Kidney Metals Program. Founded in 1912, this award-winning organization is a family-owned business with expertise in the removal and recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Central to ABC’s working mission is respect for the environment and the communities in which they work.
ABC’s business has been built on values of honesty, integrity, fairness, hard work and giving back to others. In 2007 the Canadian Association of Family Enterprises (CAFE) awarded ABC Recycling The Grant Thornton Award for Vancouver Family Enterprises of the Year. They have also received the Business of the Year Award from the Burnaby Board of Trade, and CEO David Yochlowitz was named to the Top 40 Under 40 list by Business in Vancouver in 2001.
The Kidney Foundation’s ability to help reduce the burden of kidney disease has received a tremendous boost because of our partnership with ABC Recycling, and the involvement of businesses and individuals with scrap metal to dispose of.
