The fifth World Kidney Day is a pressing, global reminder for Canadians to get in the know about diabetic kidney disease.
Are you kidney clever? Although 2 million Canadians have, or are at risk for, kidney disease, a survey reveals that 44% of Canadians don't identify the kidney as a vital organ.
During Kidney Health Month dedicated Canadians from across the country work to raise awareness of the importance of kidney health.
Our information brochure on Nutrition and chronic kidney disease has just been updated and is now available along with new Fact Sheets that show you how to control your intake of certain nutrients such as salt, potassium and phosphorus to help relieve symptoms and maintain health.
April 17-25 is National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week. You can help raise funds and awareness for organ and tissue donation by signing up to join the walk in your city. Get your friends and family together for a fun day for a great cause and you could WIN 1 OF 8 GRAND PRIZE HOTEL STAYS for Most Pledges Collected.
