For his outstanding contribution to kidney disease research, Dr. David Rush has been awarded the 2015 Kidney Foundation of Canada Medal for Research Excellence. Dr. Rush’s pioneering work in the use of surveillance biopsies in transplantation made him the first to report the high prevalence of subclinical rejection in renal transplant recipients.
Your experiences as a patient, caregiver, researcher and or healthcare professional can help identify the top research priorities in transplantation and donation within the Canadian National Transplant Research Program (CNTRP) in order to improve the treatment and the quality of life of transplanted patients and patients waiting for a transplant.
