Lori Watts

Lori Watt – Co-host

Lori is an award winning actress, producer, writer and director based in Burnaby, British Columbia. She is co-founder of Frolicking Divas Productions, a theatre company focused on female dominated works.  Her most recent production of Heathers: the Musical was nominated for two Jessie Richardson awards: one for Best Production, and an inaugural diversity award for Reflecting Vancouver's Cultural Make up on stage.  A living kidney donor herself, Lori is excited to be working with the BC & Yukon Branch of the Kidney Foundation to raise awareness around organ donation. When not co-hosting PLUGGED IN, Lori can be found on stage, screen, working at a film festival or at CUPE BC.

Daniel Chai

Daniel Chai – Co-host

Daniel Chai co-host of PLUGGED IN, is a writer and host based in Vancouver.  He has covered everything from the Canadian federal election to the opening of Vancouver's Catfe. He is also an accomplished actor and comedian, and performs regularly with The Fictional Comedy Co.; Vancouver TheatreSports League; and in Improv Against Humanity. Daniel is honoured to work with the PLUGGED IN team to help raise awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.   When not co-hosting PLUGGED IN, Daniel can be found onstage at a theatre near you, performing improv and having a great time!

Amro Majzoub

Amro Majzoub – Co-host

Amro Majzoub has been in show business in the Vancouver market for 8 years.  He began his career in stand-up comedy and eventually moved into film and TV after school. His favorites comedic icons date back to the legendary Johnny Carson and Carol Burnett with contemporary favourites including Letterman, Dave Chappelle and of course,  Kristen Wigg.  Clark Gable is at the top of his list of favourite  actors.  Away from his hosting gig on the set of PLUGGED IN, you may recognize Amro making an appearance on some favorite TV shows or performing around the comedy scene in Vancouver.   Amro is a recognizable figure around Vancouver, not only for his comedic/acting talents but also for his signature hair style which no one is allowed to touch.

Manpreet Johal

Manpreet Johal – Co-host

When not co-hosting PLUGGED IN, Manpreet can be found working at her home office doing event planning and at a local credit union. She is a lover of all things sparkly and shiny and has an amazing paper collection!  As if that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, Manpreet attends numerous community events as Community Relations Director and a co-founder of Jivana Organ Donation Society where she works alongside a dedicated team at Jivana to spread the awareness of the importance of registering as an organ donor.  Jivana also provides peer mentorship to many families who are going through the transplantation process. David C. Jones

David C. Jones – Talkin’ Kidney Reporter

When not sharing the limelight with The Kidney Foundation’s mascot, Sidney the Kidney, as PLUGGED IN’s Bean on the Street reporter, David C. Jones can be found performing on Vancouver plays like this December's Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol or acting in Indie films including the upcoming Encircled and The Gun Run.  David is a much sought-after keynote speaker as well as a corporate and charity entertainer and acting teacher / coach.  A graduate of Studio 58, the professional acting training program at Langara College, David has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including Legacy Award for Arts; People's Choice Award Best Short Film (Same Boat); Georgia Straight Award Best Comedian In Vancouver (2 years in a row); Vancouver Sun People's Choice Award; Sainted by the Sister's of Perpetual Indulgence - just to name a few!

Kayla Wallace

Kayla Wallace – Community Calendar Reporter

Kayla Wallace is an aspiring actress here in Vancouver. Originally from Vancouver Island, she moved to Vancouver to continue to pursue her acting career.  To-date her resume includes commercials for London Drugs, Oil of Olay and a supporting role in the movie “Death of a Vegas Showgirl”.  Kayla is also a talented dancer and singer, which makes Kayla a triple-threat in the movie industry.  Kayla enjoys volunteering for The Kidney Foundation, most especially with the Kidney Kids Crew, where she has lent her dance expertise in helping them perform at events such as the Shine a Light Kidney Gala and Kidney Kids and Cops events.  The Kidney Kids Crew love having Kayla around as much as she enjoys working with them!

Curtis Valentine

Curtis  Valentine – Did You Know? Reporter

Curtis is a long-standing volunteer with The Kidney Foundation having volunteered all the way through high school and while attaining his degree at UBC.   Volunteer extraordinaire, over the years he has done everything from March Drive canvasser/zone and district leader to Kidney Walk logistics volunteer and route marshal to outreach booth coordinator at dozens of events.  Curtis now works with StartUps in the Tech Industry.   Curt hopes that his role as “Did You Know?” host on PLUGGED IN will be a springboard for a recurring role on Game of Thrones.  If that doesn’t work out, as a self proclaimed chocolate connoisseur, Curtis will gladly exchange an autograph for a snickers bar!

Jerry Jiang

Jerry Jiang – Videographer and Film Editor

Jerry moved to Vancouver from his home town of Qingdao in China, October of 2015.    Jerry was an advertising producer and media person in Beijing.  Jerry began volunteering with The Kidney Foundation lending his camera and editing expertise to the production of PLUGGED IN.  Jerry now works for PLUGGED IN show where he is the on-location videographer for all the In the News clips and a show editor.   When he’s not working on PLUGGED IN, Jerry also works at Fairchild TV or can be found helping out as marketing consultant at his wife’s nutrition store, Nutrisense Vitamin Centre, in Richmond, BC.
