Active Living for Life Program

Active Living for Life is a project of The Kidney Foundation of Canada which will create a free, community-based active living program to help get those of you with chronic kidney disease moving again, and to enjoy some of the physical aspects of your lives that might have been given up as the disease progressed.

Welcome message from the Active Living Project Manager

Thank you for your interest in the Active Living for Life Program.

This is a free, community-based program determined to help the 1 in 10 Canadians living with kidney disease get moving again and enjoy some of the physical aspects of life that may have been given up as the disease progressed. Active Living for Life is about being a part of something in a safe environment, and developing strength and conditioning for kidney patients to do the things they love. Whether that's getting back on a bicycle or simply heading to the park with grandchildren, this program is determined to empower kidney patients.

I'm personally excited by some of the major developments we've already seen in our pilot project and am optimistic for the future of kidney patients across Canada. I want to thank all of the participants, instructors, physicians, funders and everyone else involved in helping to launch this pilot project.

Sincerely,

Sarah Hart
