Kim KearnsKim Kearns

The Kidney Foundation of Canada was delighted to present Kim Kearns with a 2016 David Ornstein Distinguished Service Award.  Kim has been a devoted member of The Kidney Foundation of Canada for many years.

A former Kidney Care Services Coordinator at the Northern Alberta and Territories Branch who left to pursue a new career, Kim remains very involved at the Branch and officially joined the Board of Directors in 2013.  She understands the many faces of chronic kidney disease and, thanks to her first-hand knowledge, she always demonstrates great compassion and understanding to those in need.

Kim exemplifies volunteerism at its best.  Enthusiastic and hard-working, she readily fills in as a facilitator, work group leader or committee member whenever the occasion arises.  From the Branch’s Kidney Walks to its SHABAM Festival, Kim is present at every single event.

Kim’s commitment to The Kidney Foundation is truly admirable.  Her tireless efforts and tremendous volunteer contributions have made her an asset to the organization.
