KRESCENT Application Deadline Feb. 1

The KRESCENT research program, supported by number of valuable partners, is accepting applications until Feb. 1, 2018 from candidates for 3-year awards to pursue kidney-related research. New this year: Patient partners will be adding their input to the peer review process. View the 2018 Competition Guidelines.

Recording of Our Webinar on Diabetes and Kidney Disease

Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney failure in Canada. On December 7, The Kidney Foundation held a free webinar on how to manage diabetes and prevent or slow the loss of kidney function. The recording of the webinar is now available online.

 

Call for applications: KRESCENT Program Director

The Kidney Research Scientist Core Education and National Training Program (KRESCENT) has had a major impact on kidney scientist training in Canada. The program has graduated over 80 trainees, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in the kidney research field. Kevin Burns, who has been the Program Chair since the beginning of the program, is stepping down from this role.
