HCCC Recommendations on the Implementation of National Pharmacare

Health Charities Coalition of Canada (HCCC), a member-based organization dedicated to advocating for sound public policy on health issues, presented its submission to the Advisory Council on the Implementation of National Pharmacare. As a member of HCCC, The Kidney Foundation of Canada fully supports the submission, which includes 6 key patient-centered recommendations for inclusion in the implementation of a national pharmacare program. Kidney Foundation of Canada across Alberta launching campaign to increase organ donation as Kidney Health Month begins

The statistics are well-known, especially to Canadians waiting for a transplant: there are 4,585 Canadians on the list, and, in 2016, 260 Canadians died while waiting. “It is unacceptable that people are dying as they wait on a list,” says Joyce Van Deurzen, Executive Director, Kidney Foundation of Canada (Southern Alberta). “Today, we are proud to formally launch our More Transplants campaign across Alberta on behalf of those who are waiting.” Read more. Are you interested in Kidney March, thinking about signing up?  Why not join us for this FYI session. Worried about raising funds? Or are you wondering if walking 100 km is just plain crazy?! Maybe (like most of us!) you’ve got questions about both. Inspiration Sessions are THE BEST place to chat about the in’s and out’s. Learn about Kidney March and The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
